Apple Delays AI‑Powered Siri to 2026 After Quality Shortfall at WWDC

Apple executives Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak revealed the revamped AI‑driven Siri—previewed at WWDC 2024—has been delayed to 2026. Although early versions showed promise, Siri didn’t meet Apple’s strict reliability standards. Federighi emphasized the ambition to lead in on‑device AI automation, noting no current player has mastered it. Joswiak added that releasing an unreliable Siri would have been more damaging than postponing it.
