Govt Orders IndiaAI Developers to Prioritize AI Bias Mitigation
The Indian government has instructed developers working on indigenous large language models (LLMs) under the IndiaAI Mission to prioritize bias mitigation. Due to the nation's unique diversity, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) demanded that models undergo stringent stress testing to prevent discriminatory or insensitive results related to caste, gender, and regional differences.
