Authors Grady Hendrix and Jennifer Roberson have filed a class-action lawsuit in Northern California, accusing Apple of using their copyrighted books without consent or compensation to train its OpenELM large language models. The lawsuit claims Apple incorporated pirated works into its AI training data—a move the plaintiffs argue violates intellectual property rights.
