"China Accelerates Driverless Future: Targets Mass Autonomous Vehicle Rollout by 2030"

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has unveiled a roadmap for large-scale deployment of self-driving vehicles on highways and city roads by 2030. Part of its 15th five-year plan for smart electric vehicles, the strategy aims for driverless systems to outperform humans in safety, target 70% passenger-car NEV adoption, expand vehicle-road-cloud infrastructure, and establish domestic automakers among top global industry leaders.
