In a live cryptocurrency trading contest by US research firm Nof1, Chinese AI models DeepSeek and Alibaba's Qwen significantly outperformed Western counterparts like GPT-5 and Gemini. DeepSeek posted a 126% gain, and Qwen achieved 108% in under two weeks. Conversely, the US models suffered substantial losses, highlighting the Chinese models' superior algorithmic decision-making in real-market conditions.
