Researchers at IIT Bombay have devised a Deep Seawater Cooling (DSWC) methodology that channels cold ocean water to data centers, delivering an impressive 79% reduction in energy use and carbon emissions, with a payback period of just eight months. Their 11-step feasibility framework factors in pipeline design, insulation, flow rates, and local oceanography in coastal regions like the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
