India Faces Critical Shortage of Senior UX Design Talent
Jay Dutta, founder of the DesignUp conference, stated that while User Experience (UX) design is vital for making technology "edible" and building trust, India critically lacks senior design leadership. He emphasized that good design, which can drive high financial returns and improve usability across multilingual interfaces, is often overlooked by startups. Dutta also noted that the role of designers is evolving to manage complex multimodal interactions in the age of AI.
