MapmyIndia Proposes Partnership with Perplexity AI
Indian mapping firm MapmyIndia has invited Perplexity AI for a collaboration, following CEO Aravind Srinivas's comment that "Maps are the hardest" products to build. MapmyIndia, known for its Mappls app, highlighted its three decades of expertise in providing house-number-level detail in India. The company, which is expanding globally, proposed a partnership similar to its existing one with Zoho, positioning itself as a strong, localized alternative to Google Maps.
