Microsoft plans to expand its global data center footprint to 38 gigawatts by 2032, more than tripling its current 12-gigawatt capacity, according to Bloomberg. The aggressive push aims to resolve severe server shortages that previously forced the tech giant to turn away AI and cloud clients, with dedicated AI chip infrastructure expected to account for roughly one-third of the total network.
