NASA and Google Launch AI Medical Assistant for Mars Missions
NASA and Google have collaborated to create an AI-powered medical assistant, the Crew Medical Officer Digital Assistant (CMO-DA), to support astronauts on long-duration missions to the Moon and Mars. This tool, trained on spaceflight medical literature, helps astronauts diagnose and treat symptoms when communication with Earth is limited or unavailable. Initial trials show promise for reliable diagnoses. The technology could also benefit remote medical care on Earth.
