Uber Partners with Momenta for Level 4 Driverless Robotaxi Trials in Munich

Uber and Shanghai-based Momenta will commence testing Level 4 autonomous robotaxis in Munich in 2026. These fully driverless vehicles, initially equipped with safety monitors, aim to operate without human oversight within designated urban zones. This initiative marks Uber's expansion of robotaxi services beyond the U.S. and China, with plans to introduce similar services in other European cities if successful.
