US Appeals Court Rejects Google’s Bid to Delay Epic-Games-Ordered Play Store Reform

A U.S. appeals court (9th Circuit) has denied Google’s request to further pause an injunction that demands sweeping changes to its Play Store, following Epic Games’ lawsuit. The ruling requires Google to permit third-party app stores and alternate payment systems. Some provisions must be implemented in 30 days, others within 10 months. Google is disappointed and considering an appeal to the Supreme Court.
