US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has warned Dutch semiconductor giant ASML that Washington believes one of its highly restricted extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) machines—essential for printing the world's most advanced AI chips—may have slipped into China. ASML strongly denies the claim, maintaining it tracks every machine it has ever built and has never shipped an EUV tool to Beijing.
