Unlocking the Vault: MeitY’s DEPA Handbook Powers Secure AI Training

India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has unveiled the Data Empowerment and Protection Architecture (DEPA) handbook. Developed with the iSPIRT Foundation, the techno-legal framework allows institutions to securely share data for artificial intelligence training while preserving privacy, confidentiality, and institutional ownership through controlled computing environments and data provenance tracking.
