India Achieves Milestone of Over Two Lakh Government-Recognized Startups
Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced India is now home to over 200,000 government-recognized startups, with 44,000 entities registered this year—a new annual record since the 2016 Startup India initiative. These units benefit from incentives like income tax relief and have collectively generated over 2.1 million direct jobs.
