Startup Challenges Musk's X for 'Twitter' Trademark

A Virginia-based startup, Operation Bluebird, petitioned the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel the trademarks for "Twitter" and "tweet," arguing that Elon Musk's X Corp has legally abandoned the brand. The startup, which plans a rival platform called "twitter.new," is attempting to claim the famous name and related terms for itself, testing whether X will defend a brand it no longer uses commercially.
