12 Individuals Now Using Brain Implants, Logging Over 15,000 Hours
Elon Musk’s Neuralink has announced that 12 individuals worldwide have received its brain implant chips—up from seven in June. These users, primarily living with severe paralysis, have collectively logged over 2,000 days and 15,000 hours controlling devices through thought alone. Neuralink is gearing up for a clinical study in the UK, collaborating with UCL and Newcastle Hospitals, as it advances human trials that began in 2024.
