High-Risk Shield: OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Cyber with "Critical" Threat Rating

OpenAI has launched GPT-6 Cyber, a specialized security model classified as "Critical" under its Preparedness Framework. Designed for authorized security research, the model successfully identified 81 high-severity flaws in Firefox and reproduced nearly 1,000 Linux kernel exploits. Initially rolled out to approved API customers, it features strict boundary controls to prevent out-of-scope attacks.
